Yellow Moong Dal, Pink Salt, Groundnut Oil
“Moong dal namkeen – lightest, cleanest, sabse versatile. Kitchen ka permanent member.”
Our Moong Dal Namkeen is made from split moong dal soaked for 4 to 6 hours, thoroughly dried and fried fresh in pure groundnut oil. Light, airy, mildly salted. The clean earthy flavour of moong dal comes through fully because there is nothing artificial to mask it.
Moong dal namkeen is both a standalone snack and a kitchen ingredient. On poha, in bhel, mixed in trail mix – it works everywhere. Higher protein than potato-based snacks. Lighter on the stomach too.
Is moong dal namkeen a healthier snack?
Relatively yes. Moong dal is naturally high in protein and fibre compared to potato chips or maida-based namkeen. When fried in pure groundnut oil without artificial additives, it is one of the more nutritious traditional Indian snack options. Not a health food – but a significantly better choice than flavoured corn snacks or potato chips with artificial seasoning.
Classic salted or spiced?
This variety is classic salted – minimal seasoning, clean moong flavour. For those who want the ingredient versatility without strong seasoning. The flavour is distinctive enough on its own – you do not need much added to it.

Pro tip
Make your own homemade trail mix by combining moong dal namkeen with salted peanuts, chana dal and a few raisins. Better than any packaged trail mix and entirely natural.
Storage tip
Store in a cool dry place. Keep the pack sealed tightly after opening. Consume within 3 weeks of opening for best crunch. Do not store in the fridge - moisture will make namkeen lose crispness.
Moong Dal Namkeen is the most kitchen-versatile product in our range. Most commercial versions use palm oil and sit in warehouses for months. Ours is made from split moong dal soaked 4 to 6 hours, dried properly and fried fresh in pure groundnut oil. The difference is in the flavour - you taste the actual moong, not just oil and salt. A genuinely nutritious snack and a cooking ingredient in one.
