“Meetha aam ka achar – jab mitha bhi chahiye aur khatta bhi. Sabka pyara.”
Our Meetha Aam Ka Achar is made from slightly riper mangoes slow-cooked with natural gur and a gentle whole spice blend. No refined sugar, no artificial colour. The jaggery adds a deep, complex sweetness that white sugar simply cannot replicate, and the minimal spice level makes this accessible for the whole family including children.
Sweet achar is a different category from the regular spicy variety. It works as a condiment, as a spread and as a natural digestive sweet at the end of a meal. Very few commercial brands make it properly with gur.
Mild, sweet-sour, gently spiced. Our most universally loved achar.
What is different about meetha aam achar?
Unlike regular mango pickle which is raw, sour and spicy, meetha aam achar uses slightly riper mangoes and involves gentle cooking with jaggery. The result is closer to a murabba-style preserve than a traditional oil-cured achar. It has a softer texture, a sweeter flavour profile and is much milder on spice. Good for people who want the mango achar experience without the heat.
Does it use sugar or jaggery?
We use only natural gur (jaggery) – not refined white sugar. Gur has a lower glycaemic index than refined sugar and adds a depth of flavour that white sugar cannot match. It also keeps the product more aligned with traditional preparation methods used in Banarasi homes for generations.

Minimal amount for natural colour and earthy base note.
Sendha Namak
Himalayan
Balances sweetness and acts as natural preservative.

Curd
Mix a spoonful into plain curd for a quick sweet-sour accompaniment.
With Cheese
Try on a cheese board as a chutney substitute. Works brilliantly with mild paneer or cottage cheese.
Dal Chawal

As a Gift
The mildest and most universally accepted achar in our range - ideal for gifting.
Pro tip
Warm a spoonful of meetha aam achar gently and drizzle over vanilla ice cream. Sounds unusual. Tastes exceptional. The warm sweet mango with cold ice cream and a hint of mustard and spice is genuinely special.
Storage tip
Refrigerate after opening - the jaggery content means this achar is best kept cool. Consume within 2 to 3 months of opening. Always use a dry spoon.
Meetha Aam Ka Achar fills a gap that most pickle brands ignore - a genuinely mild, sweet-sour achar made with natural ingredients that the whole family can enjoy. Most sweet mango pickles use refined white sugar, artificial colour and refined oil. Ours uses slightly ripe UP mangoes, natural jaggery from UP sugarcane farms and our own farm mustard oil. The result is a rounder, more complex sweetness with none of the artificial aftertaste.
