What's Inside

Our Banarasi Garlic Pickle (Lahsun Ka Aachar) is made using fresh garlic cloves, hand-ground spices, and cold-pressed mustard oil — sun-cured slowly for a deep, rounded flavour. It’s not just spicy; it’s aromatic, earthy, and comforting, like a family recipe passed down through generations.

Pickle Jar Full of Aroma & Warmth

At Salteen, our process respects the time, patience, and precision of traditional Banarasi pickle-making.

Selection:
Fresh, firm garlic cloves are chosen to ensure their natural aroma and pungency are preserved.

Preparation:
Garlic is peeled, washed, fully dried, and lightly blanched or sautéed (as per traditional method) to mellow sharpness while preserving flavour.

Spice Mix:
Our spice blend is roasted gently and ground in-house to add warmth, aroma, and depth to the pickle.

Sun Curing:
Garlic, spices, and cold-pressed mustard oil are stored in glass jars and placed under natural sunlight for several days — letting flavours settle and mature harmoniously.

How to Relish It

Storage

  • Keep the jar in a cool, dry place.
  • Always use a clean, dry spoon.
  • Stays flavourful for up to 12 months. The longer it rests, the deeper the flavour!
